At C2, we have the capability to provide you with a complete home, from site preparation to move-in. We work with local contractors in your area to ensure that site work such as grading, foundations, basements, etc. are carefully coordinated with the factory-built elements of the home, and to ensure that the final fit and finish meets your expectations. Do you have special needs? Call us – we can tailor our services for you.
Many home manufacturers provide limited customization of their standard models. Not us. All of our homes are individually designed based on the homeowner’s needs and the opportunities offered by the site. At C2, our philosophy is that homes should reflect the individuality of their owners and that everyone benefits from individually designed homes: Homeowners get the home of their dreams; Neighbors are treated to diversity and interest in their neighborhoods; Communities thrive on homes that are designed to reinforce the public character of the street; and everyone benefits from the reduction in carbon emissions and other environmental benefits that result from “tuning” a home to its natural environment. Contact us today to discuss your ideal home.
Rather than design a few specific models, we have developed a complete home-building system. The system gives us the flexibility to build homes that are site- and needs-specific, and also ensures that each C2 customer gets a home that is one-of-a-kind. There are three basic components in the C2 system: Frames, made up of columns, beams and other structural elements; Panels, for walls, floors, and roofs, all “flat-packed” for efficient shipping; and Modules, factory-assembled for the most complex parts of your home, including kitchens, bathrooms, mechanical rooms, and staircases. All of these components are organized around a central “spine” that facilitates installation of hvac, plumbing, and electrical components of the home. For more details, see the “Open Building” section of our website.
This flexibility goes beyond initial design and construction. Now that all of the systems are separated from one another, changes over the life of your home become easier as well. Want to add structured wiring throughout the house? Pop off the wall base to reveal electrical raceways. Need to replace or move plumbing lines? No problem – replace your plumbing without knocking holes in the wall. In-laws moving to town? Reconfigure the living areas to make a separate suite. (Sometimes it may be too flexible!)
C2 has developed two distinct product lines, both based on our “Open Building” system. MOOD Modern Modular emphasizes modern and contemporary design approaches to space and materials, clean lines and revealed systems in harmony with their surroundings, while District Homes provides a context-based line well suited for traditional neighborhoods of distinction.
