Chris French is a leader in sustainable planning and architecture in the Washington, DC area. He has given presentations on sustainable practice at conferences, businesses, universities and government agencies, and was a juror for GSA’s national “Demolition Derby” construction waste management competition in 2003. He has been an active member of the DC Chapter AIA’s Committee on the Environment since 2000. As Chair of the committee in 2003, he presided over an increase in active participation and shepherded the development of House of Cards, the educational game that teaches children (and their parents) about sustainable design. He now serves on the Board of Directors for the Washington, DC Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
